The ethos of COFFIES is a respectful, inclusive, and equitable environment that allows the free expression and healthy exchange of scientific ideas. It is the expectation of COFFIES that all participants in Center activities will enjoy an environment free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. COFFIES rejects discrimination and harassment (in any form) on the basis of personal identity, including ethnic or national origin, race, religion or religious belief, citizenship, language, political or other opinion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, veteran status, physical appearance, age, or economic class. In addition, COFFIES opposes all forms of bullying including threatening, humiliating, coercive, or intimidating conduct that causes harm to, interferes with, or sabotages scientific activity and careers. Discrimination, harassment (in any form), and bullying create a hostile environment that undermines the integrity of the Center. Violators of this policy will be subject to discipline.

COFFIES will handle complaints in accord with respective institutional, state, and federal policies as applicable.

This policy may continue to evolve and develop into Phase II of the COFFIES DRIVE Science Center.
