September 19th, 2025 on Zoom

Registration is open

The NASA COFFIES DRIVE Center invites abstract submissions for the COFFIES Virtual Workshop on Solar/Stellar Inertial Modes and Their Implications, to be held online on Friday September 19th, 2025, from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm PT (11:00 am - 4:30 pm ET; 3:00 pm - 8:30 pm UT).

The workshop will feature three sessions, each with one or two invited talks and a few lightning talks, followed by extended time for brainstorming and open discussion.

The main themes of the workshop are:

  1. Observations of inertial waves
  2. Theoretical and numerical modeling of inertial waves and the role of magnetic fields
  3. What can inertial waves tell us about solar activity?

We welcome contributions from all interested researchers. To register and/or request a contributed lightning talk (2-3 slides), please fill out the linked form below.

A Zoom link will be sent out to registered attendees prior to the meeting.

Deadline for registration and contributions is Tuesday September 9th, 2025.

REGISTER HERE!

We’d like to thank our LOC: Gustavo Guerrero, Junwei Zhao, Mausumi Dikpati, and Oana Vesa, as well as all speakers and participants!
