Alyssa Russell is a graduate student at the University of Michigan with the CLASP group. She recieved her B.S. in a dual degree in Interdisciplinary Astronomy and Information (Information Analysis), also from U Mich. Her research interests include heliophysics and solar active region evolution. She spent the summer and fall of 2021 working with Lisa Upton and Shea Hess Webber on the Advective Flux Transport model (AFT) and presented her work at the American Geophysical Union conference in December 2021. In her free time, Alyssa likes to play soccer, make space art, and spend time with friends and family.
